Crews work to help those hit by Hurricane Ian in Florida as storm moves into Carolinas
Hurricane Ian is back on shore after its second landfall on the U.S. The storm struck near Georgetown, South Carolina Friday afternoon with winds of 85 mph, heavy rain and surging waves. In its wake, officials in Florida confirmed at least 17 dead with vast scenes of wreckage along the state's southwestern coastline.

Riding Out Hurricane Ian | Cape Coral Florida
This was our experience during the eye of Hurricane Ian at the height of the flooding. The wind blew from about 11:30am to past midnight. The flooding occurred between 2:30 and 6:30 and did not completely subside for two days.
 Not everyone was as lucky. Please pray for the families less fortunate. Our close neighbors had left so we knew we didn’t need to check on them.

During his reign of terror between 1978 and 1991, Dahmer killed 17 men and boys and kept some of their body parts in freezers inside his home.

Flood waters are pushing levees to their breaking points. This afternoon, a levee near the Myakka River was compromised, forcing hundreds to flee. The death toll across the state is exploding, with at least 77 now dead.
About 35 of those from Lee County alone. Homeowners are coming to terms with a new reality as they rebuild in the aftermath of hurricane Ian. According to the Insurance Information Institute, only about 18% of Florida homeowners have flood insurance, most of that through the federal government.
